Your Questions About Self Esteem Clothing

Chris asks…

What stores sell Poof! or Self Esteem brand clothing?

I’ve only ever seen Poof! products at Marshall’s and I was wondering if there was another store or a website I could go to get more of the brand. I think Kohls sells Self Esteem clothing for juniors but I was also wondering if there was another place that sells their products too.

Any help is appreciated! :]

J. Lynn answers:

I work at Marshalls and self esteem comes from kohls and JCpenny. Poof can also be found there.

Also Try T.J. Maxx ,A.J. Wright, and Value city. We sell the same stuff.

Clothing choices and low self esteem?

I was watching some reality show on VH1 the other day and some person said some other person dressed like there was some self-esteem issues.

So I’m wondering what kinds of clothing choices you think might indicate low self-esteem. What manner of clothing choices, if you saw someone wearing it, would make you think that person doesn’t feel too great about themselves. Color choices, fit, whatever.

J. Lynn answers:

If a girl has low self esteem, that means she will be looking for someone else to validate her worth. Usually she would do that by dressing in a promiscuous manner, or in a manner that is calling attention to herself. Low cut blouse, short short skirt, tight tight jeans, would be indications of a girl that was looking for attention from men to validate her self worth.

Ruth asks…

Does showing revealing clothing mean you have low self-esteem?

Let me explain a lil. I have heard a lot of people saying that people who show off themselves have low self-esteem. I would think that if they have low self-esteem they would wear big baggy clothes. I personally like to show my clevage just for the attention I get. I can’t think of any self-esteem problems I have, or does wanting attention mean I have low self-esteem? what do you think of the whole subject?

J. Lynn answers:

I’ve always thought that people that feel the need to wear super-tight and low-cut clothes were just doing it for the attention because they felt insecure. But I don’t think that there’s anthing wrong with showing a bit of clevage every now and then.

Carol asks…

How can the type of clothing worn affect a childs self esteem?

also At what age is this likely to be important? D:

J. Lynn answers:

If you wear ugly stuff kids make fun of you, causing the kid to feel bad because they wont have many friends.

It probably starts in about 3rd grade.
