Reports have it that slowing the heart beat rate can lead to a longer life of a person .Exercise and medication have equally been sited as means to slowing the heart beat and slow breathing. Another means to slow heart beat and breath is by hypnotization.

To ensure that you have the best results or succeed in slowing down the heart beat is by avoiding any form of stimulant. Stimulants are known to increase the heart beat rate as well as the breathing. Slowing the rate safes energy as well

Natural relaxation and normal working will be hindered if a person takes too much stimulants in the blood system. Such stimulants include caffeinated drinks, cigarettes, too much sugar and tea. Such drinks will increase your heart beat and take away your ability to relax.

No medication or medical expertise is needed. All you need to do is listen to your body and it will alert you as soon as the need for a breathing break arises.
