Learning How To Carry Out Sleep Meditation

By using sleep meditation you can actually get so relaxed that you get a great full nights rest. Learning meditations for rest or anything else are fairly simple. All you need to do is find the most comfortable position lying on the bed first.

Next, close your eyes and just listen to the sounds of your breathing for a few minutes. The home should be free from distractions and unwanted noise for this to truly work. Visualization is the key here.

Breath and release the stress you feel into the air. See all of your problems drifting up and into this gold box until all of them are in there. See the lid of the box close tightly. See it being wrapped in chains and locked.

Take each issue and place them in this golden chest. Once they are all inside, close the lid and place a lock on it. They are no longer with you, you are free of them. Feel the weight of these issues lift from you and disappear. You are released from them.

There are many forms of meditations you can try. Some are even called guided ones and come on CD's with calming music and a soothing voice guiding you through the entire thing.

You can lie back and then look at a picture of a tranquil peaceful place and envision yourself being there. See yourself there, smell the air hear the sounds that surround you there. Take deep breaths and blow them out.

Another easy way to release stress is to sit comfortably, close your eyes and pick one certain word. Visualize a blue calming light and chant this word to yourself for as long as is needed to feel relaxed and to the point you can rest peacefully through the night.

If you are having a bad day at the office take a ten minute break and find somewhere you can be alone. Close your eyes and focus on the sounds of your breathing in and out, in and out. Do this for ten minutes or even five if that's all you have time for.

If you find yourself tossing and turning at night this sleep meditation can help, lie on your back with eyes closed and think of a big white cloud. See yourself rising up to be on this cloud as you move swiftly through the blue skies. Feel peace and calmness come over you as you lie in the softness of the cloud and see yourself asleep within its white, fluffy wisps.
