Daily Devotional: Here's Why You Long For Experience

By Pablo Perez

"I'm departing for Kenya, Africa... in two hours"

My wife could not imagine what I was saying and frankly thatTuesday early in the morning I wasn't contemplating in traveling in the least. Egypt and Mexico felt plenty of work for the month (so I believed). Yet about 11 o'clock, while reading an ebook, drinking my second coffee and strongly imagining the relaxing times ahead, a thunderous message landed and broke the morning in 2:

Is it possible to fly to Kenya tomorrow?

The email originated from Jono Hall, director of the Forerunner Media Shool at the International House of Prayer of Kansas City. Graeme Spencer (head of production for God TV)enteredthe discussion from Washington DC and asked about if I could lead worship in Kenya, on Thursday. After thirty seconds of intense thinking, I completed enjoying my coffee and wrote a timid yes.

After eating launch, I scanned the airline ticket from my iphone and came aboard flights toward Chicago and Heathrow (London) exactly where I joined the fatigued but warm and friendly God TV crew. We ate a snack and entered British Airlines flight 879 for Nairobi, Kenya. It turned out to be Wednesday late night, when I finally arrived at Africa.

With simply three hours of sleep, I jumped in a small rental bus on the way for 'mountain base'. This unique ride delivered fortyfive minutes of wild safari driving with some that ancient British talk (try any time you have jet lag).

High in the mountains the morning felt almost intoxicating: the organic fragrance of the wild, the sun-drenched hues all-around it appeared as if nature grooving. On my back while leading, a corn country field became spectacular hillsides that finale with blue skies. Simply breathtaking; creation at his best (with a divine touch) the Watoto children choir of Uganda dancing on the whole stage.

For nearly six lengthy hours we worshiped and broadcast unrehearsed (live TV) to more than 100 nations. Without doubt wearing, but totally remarkable!

At nightfall, all of us left mountain base and went back to the hotel (through untamed difficult highways you've not observed in the very best movies). Some hours later, I kissed Africa good bye, changed a number of air carriers in Europe making it it back to Kansas City, on Friday (for dinner).

Now, that's what I label "ministry on steroids"a thrilling kingdom adventure, the adrenaline rush of traversing major regions in 24 hours, feeling the awareness of God's presence upon your soul, along with the fantastic delight of an remarkable experience.

Unveiling the Secret of an Appealing Word

The section above contains a compelling and fascinating word. To get perfectly honest, I shared my trip to Kenya to spotlight the significance of that word. I guarantee: understanding the word will allow you to decipher the cravings of the soul and identify the reason behind most of your triumph and setbacks.

Picture yourself in a location where beauty, unforgettable journeys and thrilling adventures happen every single day. Envision an existence in which apathy is evaporated and enthrallment is the predominant sensation of the soul.

Suppose you could like a perpetual story, in a world where love and eternity constantly take your breath away?

Here is one thing few people understand: deep in the hearts we live and desire experience. All people want to "experience". It is not really "things", "status" and "success" we desire, it is the feeling those ideas deliver we have been after, how they make us feel within.

I have significantly more to say regarding this matter, but this post is already long... don't worry... we'll meet again.
