The Astral Projection and the Chakras

By Amya L. Leigh

Chakra is actually a Sanskrit word meaning vortex, or wheel, and it describes each of the 7 energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed. The functioning of the chakras displays choices we come up with regards to how we decide to respond to problems in life.

The chakras usually are not physical. Each one of the seven chakras is associated to one of the seven endocrine glands, and in addition with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each and every chakra can be linked to specific parts of the body and specific capabilities within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that chakra.

All your sensory faculties, all of your ideas, all of your possible states of awareness, everything it's possible for you to encounter, may be divided into seven classes. Every single category could be associated with a certain chakra.

The effective way to look into the chakras is through the conscious out-of-body experience (OBE or astral projection) as this experience allows us to see the energetic and non-physical reality that surrounds us. It also allows us to truly see our chakras and the energetic connections between them and non-physical creatures. Clairvoyance is the one other valuable tool for researching chakras but is less deep and efficient compared to the out-of-body experience (astral projection or astral travel), which allows direct observation of the actuality from a subtler perspective.

So, chakras can present us where our strong and weak points lie when in astral form, and then there are hindrances, and just how we might be repressing info associated with our past (either from this life or previous lives). The chakras may also be used to help us better appreciate how we couple energetically (both consciously and unconsciously) with physical and non-physical people in the astral world, some of whom are nicely balanced plus some of whom usually are not.
