Spiritual Life Coaching: Guided Meditation for Healing Your Childhood Trauma

This Spiritual Life Coaching exercise will help you to forge a new and transformational path of peace, joy, and tranquility. It is a guided meditation for those who seek to heal their primal wound and early childhood trauma. If you practice it once three times a week for three months, you should begin to transcend your emotional pain-body and dissolve your toxic emotions...for good.
1. Become seated and cross your legs in a meditative position and close your eyes.
2. Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth just behind your teeth. Keep it there throughout the entire meditation. Inhale slowly through your nose from your diaphragm, allowing the air to push your lower belly out. Repeat this seven times, focusing your attention on your breath.
3. Visualize the time in your childhood when you experienced your first emotional trauma, no matter how slight or how severe.
4. Now focus on that event for a few moments. See the person who inflicted the trauma, whether it was a parent, sibling, classmate, friend, whomever. If it was more than one person then visualize every person involved. Focus on this time in your life until you have a clear picture of it in your mind.
5. All of the pain in your life stems back to this one event, this initial wound. It is time now to transcend this pain, and retrieve your soul. There is a hidden treasure that lies at the heart of this trauma.
6. Visualize the eyes of the person who caused this primal, first wounding. See their suppressed pain in their own eyes. As you're observing this, know in your heart of hearts that they simply didn't know any better. Know that if they knew better, they would never have hurt you. They were only reacting from their own place of pain, inflicted by someone else when they were a child.
7. Now send the person responsible for your initial wound pure white light emanating from your beating heart. Send them love and forgiveness through the light. Send them the thought wave, saying "I forgive you and understand that you didn't know any better." Stay here in this place, for as long as you need, pulsing the white light from your heart toward them with every beat and then visualize the light consuming their entire body until you see them smile. After you see them smile, keep visualizing the pulsating light until their body is completely engulfed in white light.
8. Now release them with unconditional love and forgiveness.

Over all those years it has grown and shifted, changing beyond all recognition to become one of the most popular means by which people the world over opt to become healthier. Some larger organisations who grew out of Indian philosophical traditions run respected classes. Sometimes classes are run by individual teachers with a variety of training backgrounds.
People come to the practice for a variety of reasons. For some it might be about improving posture and flexibility. Many of these exercises enable people to do this. They also assist with breathing. It can also improve general health as well. Some schools of yoga are much more physically demanding than others.
Concentration is an important part of yogic practice. Many of the different exercises found within the discipline need a great deal of concentration. This isn't about developing a forced and unnatural concentration. Instead it is about becoming more single minded, of being able to focus on the task at hand and finding a degree of personal freedom within that. As a result many people report that regular practice has made them a calmer person.
Countless people in the public eye have been attracted to it. They may be people who have in the past led unhealthy lifestyles. They could have abused alcohol or drugs or had problems with addictions. They report that they have found a greater freedom through their regular yogic sessions. Boost Your Memory- 3 Ways To Improve Your Brain

Even if you think your memory is immaculate, there are little signs that tell you something is changing. Maybe you forget a friend's birthday at first, but later on down the road you forget one of your child's birthdays. Then you will lose track of your keys more often, even locking them in your house or car. Granted, we can't remember everything, but if the situation doesn't get any better then you should consider trying to boost your memory.
Even though we are not all gifted with a photographic memory, there are things that can be done to make improvements with what we do have and help with our memory. This is really descriptive of people who are getting older. As we grow older, the neurons in your brains also get older. Some burn out while others get slower and slower. This is why older people tend to have less reliable memories than younger people.
The good news is; if you take the initiative to boost your memory now, the chances of you seeing issues later down the road is greatly reduced. Look at the 3 tips below and utilize the ones that will help you get back on track:
1. Utilize graphics or sounds- Depending on how you learn, people can utilize graphics and sounds to recall things. For example. If you are attempting to recall a to do list, all you have to do is to continue looking at the sheet of paper until you can see the list in your memory. There are people, however, who have to hear the list of their to do tasks before they can recall the things that have to be done. To determine which one is suitable for you, try to recall how you recalled things when you were in school. Did you read the words to yourself or out load to the classroom?
2) Take Advantage of Associations- Sometimes all you need is something that is in relation to something you need to remember. The perfect example here is when you get directions somewhere and the other party gives you a landmark that is in the area. All of the sudden a picture enters your mind of the location. There are other ways to do this as well like utilizing mnemonics. This is when you memorize a group of words, take the first letter of each one, and then create a sentence for it. Even though some people are stubborn in this area, there are times when the brain can remember something a lot easier when it's in this form.
Visualizing it All- If you or someone you know was once thought to have a photographic memory, it meant you could basically remember everything. Remember lists is always a great example, and those with great memories can simply remember everything on it at once, while others will have to settle for one piece at a time. In order to boost your memory here you have to recreate an image in your mind when someone talks about an event, location, or anything else that surfaces.
The Right Foods- Even though we're told to eat right and do a little exercise in order to shed the pounds, there are benefits to the brain as well. Healthier foods provide better nutrients for the body, so you have to make sure you have a good diet if the goal here is to boost your memory. Three great choices are milk, fish, and tofu.

The Escrima Sword and Dagger Technique

One of the most impressive and, one could say, beautiful, techniques in the Filipino Martial Art of escrima must be the Espada Y Daga. Espada Y Daga comes from the Spanish phrase "sword and dagger", and as the name implies, is performed with two weapons. Usually the longer weapon (which can sometimes be replaced with a stick) makes the first move followed by the shorter and quicker knife weapon. This is inherently a close range combat technique, where the weaker and farther knife hand can already stab the opponent.
This particular technique is considered the "heart" of many escrima systems, such as Pekiti-Tirsia, Kalis Ilustrisimo, and Lightning Scientific Arnis, and it is taught only to advanced students since it requires good coordination with both hands, and the wielding of two different kinds of weapons at the same time. Usually this technique may be first taught with a single stick and an open hand during training.
Once mastered, one will be able to do a beautiful succession of alternating attacks, which also has an aesthetic, spiritual quality to it. The master will learn to do without any predetermined combinations but make his strikes spontaneous, and react quickly to any counter-attacks the opponent might try to make. One can imagine the opponent being literally "chopped to pieces" by the two blades.
It seems that even though the name of the technique is Spanish (because of the Spanish colonization of the Philippines for more than three-hundred years), the technique itself is pre-hispanic in origin. It is possible that native warrior clans were already using and practicing the espada y daga long before the Spanish ever arrived. They may even have used this technique on the Spanish soldiers they fought with!
Of course, some may ask whether this technique is still practical today since it is illegal to carry a knife in many countries, let alone a sword and a knife combination. And also, this technique might not be effective when confronted with a firearm. To that our usual answer is it really depends on the practitioner. Some may see the espada y daga as just a relic of the past which needs to be preserved for the sake of tradition, while others might actually be able to use it in a real fight, say with police implements such as a baton and a spray bottle.
As always, we emphasize responsibility when using such techniques. These techniques were meant to be deadly, and it was traditionally taught only to those who were mature enough in mind and spirit. Maybe you're the kind of person who is mature enough in his inner character to learn this art.

Incense Road of Antiquity

Historians and anthropologists believe the Incense Road of Antiquity flourished between the 3rd century BCE and began to decline after the 2nd century CE. In general, the incense trade route stretched from the Mediterranean to Egypt, Arabia and on to India. Before the Greco-Romans started bypassing Incense Road, it was the main channel for trading goods of high value such as Indian spices, ebony and silk. Even rare woods from East Africa were carried along this route, as well as feathers and gold.
According to historian Himanshu Ray, South Arabia and the Horn of Africa were the chief sources of incense during the heyday of the Incense Route of Antiquity. Both texts and ancient frescos show evidence of traders bringing incense to the Nile around 1500 BCE. As the trade route evolved, new substances for ritual incense use were discovered. For example Yemen was already a prominent city for trade, but the frankincense and myrrh trees growing there were highly valued. Traders from all over Arabia sought the trees but it was the rulers of Yemen that valued them the most. Perhaps because of the commerce the trees brought, or maybe for their religious rituals. Either way the frankincense and myrrh trees kept the Red Sea portion of the Incense Road busy.
One of the most important points along the land route of the Incense Road was Gerrha, now identified as Uqair in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. As an aside, the high salt content of the Red Sea meant there were no traditional building materials available. So residents built their homes using large blocks of salt. If repairs were needed, salt water was the 'glue'. In any case, Gerrha was well placed as a trading point for commodities, particularly aromatic goods from India. The location opened the door to the Mediterranean and controlled everything that flowed into Babylon during the first century BCE.
Inevitably the world powers of the era fought over control of the Incense Road of Antiquity. Nations were invaded, conquered or destroyed. Trade suffered during the battles between opposing sides and slowly a middleman capable of bypassing the warring armies began to emerge. The Nabateans (a people from what is now Jordan and northern Arabia) and the Roman Empire fought like cats and dogs while the South Arabs slipped in between them and demanded exorbitant fees for safe transport of cargos to the other side. However it was not long before a direct sea route across the Erythraen Sea (Arabian Sea) began being used to avoid the greed of the middlemen.
The act of bypassing the land portion of the Incense Road meant the Grecian Empire was now trading directly with India; the same was true for Rome and Egypt. In 2005 four Nabatean towns were added to the World Heritage list as they exhibit sophisticated architecture, engineering and construction from an ancient time and during an important era of trade history. For example Yemen was already a prominent city for trade, but the frankincense and myrrh trees growing there were highly valued. Traders from all over Arabia sought the trees but it was the rulers of Yemen that valued them the most. Perhaps because of the commerce the trees brought, or maybe for their religious rituals. Either way the frankincense and myrrh trees kept the Red Sea portion of the Incense Road busy.
One of the most important points along the land route of the Incense Road was Gerrha, now identified as Uqair in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. As an aside, the high salt content of the Red Sea meant there were no traditional building materials available. So residents built their homes using large blocks of salt. If repairs were needed, salt water was the 'glue'. In any case, Gerrha was well placed as a trading point for commodities, particularly aromatic goods from India. The location opened the door to the Mediterranean and controlled everything that flowed into Babylon during the first century BCE.
Inevitably the world powers of the era fought over control of the Incense Road of Antiquity. Nations were invaded, conquered or destroyed. Trade suffered during the battles between opposing sides and slowly a middleman capable of bypassing the warring armies began to emerge.
